Aussi, a-t-il sollicité la collaboration des populations pour mettre à ce fléau qui menace gravement notre cadre de vie. « Cette exploitation illicite détruit notre environnement, menace la qualité de vie dans nos villages et la vie même de nos parents, ainsi que l’avenir de nos enfants et petits-enfants », a déploré le ministre Jean Claude Kouassi.
Par ailleurs, Jean Claude Kouassi prévient les contrevenants. « Cette situation ne peut plus et ne doit plus prospérer ! Éradiquer l’orpaillage clandestin est devenu, aujourd’hui, un impératif catégorique pour l’Etat de Côte d’Ivoire ! Déterminer à lutter, plus efficacement, contre ce fléau, le Gouvernement a choisi de réunir toutes les unités opérationnelles des différentes forces en une seule Brigade dédiée, exclusivement, à la répression des infractions au Code minier. Dans le Gbêkè, cette Brigade est intervenue, du 12 au 13 juillet 2019, à Bouaké », a-t-il informé.
